Our cinemas improve the difficult reality of being in hospital for patients and their families, by bringing them the genuine cinema experience we make patients and their families feel better, providing relief from the wards, escapism and some precious normality. We install and manage state-of-the-art cinemas that screen the latest releases the film industry has to offer.

The cinemas are specifically designed and built within the hospital to comfortably accommodate wheelchairs and hospital beds, whilst maintaining a real and exciting cinema going experience. By creating the true cinema experience MediCinema enriches the lives of patients many of whom are critically ill and spending extensive periods of time in hospital. The therapeutic effects provided by this opportunity to enjoy a normal and uplifting social experience have proved remarkable. Witnessing MediCinema in action is truly extraordinary. To see the immediate positive effect a visit to one of our cinemas has on a sick child or an anxious patient is incredible.

MediCinema currently operates at The Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow; the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle; St Thomas' Hospital in London. This year we have recently opened MediCinema in Newport, Gwent and at Headley Court, the rehabilitation centre for injured service men and women. We also have plans for new cinemas at Guy's Hospital and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London.
