Winners announced!

Last night, the great and good were rewarded at the annual Screen Marketing and Distribution Awards. Over 400 industry professionals attended the ceremony at the London Hilton, Park Lane, to network and celebrate the innovation in distribution over the last year.

With entries from nearly every major name distributor the competition was tough. Click here to see the list of deserving winners.

Stand up comedian and host for the evening, Stephen K. Amos, kept the audience entertained and announced the winners. Guests celebrated into the early hours with an after show disco and photobooth, provided by Air New Zealand. There was also a silent auction in aid of MediCinema, which raised £11,000!

Screen International editor, Mike Goodridge congratulated the finalists and commented in his welcome speech:
"It's not easy out there, as we all know, but each of these companies is building maximum value for their films in the current marketplace, from working the theatrical release as aggressively and inventively as possible to exploring new ancillary rights."

Big winners on the night included Momentum, who picked up 4 awards, including UK Distributer of the Year; and Warner Brothers.
