For the third year, Screen UK Marketing & Distribution Awards are now open for entries, with two new categories to enter. The awards will honour marketing and distribution campaigns and teams for the 12 month period between August 2011 and July 2012. In an industry which has more awards ceremonies than most, the dazzling enterprise displayed by the distribution sector is rarely recognised. Screen launched the Marketing and Distribution Awards in 2010 in acknowedgement of the fact that distributors have never been faced with so many challenges. New categories for 2012Last year's awards saw the event grow in both number and calibre of entries, and was met with a strong industry response. This year, two new categories have been included - Rising Star, recognising the up and coming young industry executives, and UK Sales Company Best International Campaign. Click here to view criteria for all categories. Entering the Screen Awards is straightforward and free of charge, so get started on your submissions now. The deadline is 15 June.
